Welcome to the Valley Center Stampede Rodeo! As part of the annual Valley Center Western Days, we invite you to enjoy this family-friendly rodeo experience.

Each May, the Valley Center community celebrates its western heritage with a week-long series of events including the Western Days Parade, the Valley Center Stampede Rodeo, an evening musical performance, the election of Valley Center’s “Honorary Mayor,” a carnival, and so much more.

We hope you will take the time to learn more about this celebration, and then come enjoy the fun and meet some new friends. In addition to having a great time, you will be supporting the good work in our community as the rodeo helps support the Valley Center Optimists Club and youth programs like 4H and and Future Farmers of America.

The Morgan Leigh Band is coming to the Valley Center Stampede!

The Morgan Leigh Band is a Southern California based Country/Pop band led by the talented singer/songwriter Morgan Leigh. Leigh - born and raised in Valley Center - recently made her debut on American Idol, Season 12, as one of the top 40 girls in the country. Over the years, Leigh has been awarded many titles such as: Top Ten Best Female Vocalist (IPOP), Best Female Singer (Star Rep.), San Diego Artist to Watch 2013, and 3rd Runner Up Teen Star of the Year (Las Vegas). In the spring of 2011, she released her first four-song EP, Sugar, co-written with Grammy nominated superstar, Jamie O’Neal, and produced by Nashville engineer, Rodney Good.

In 2011, Leigh also began songwriting with fellow singer-songwriter, Paul Coughlin and have recently began to work on their upcoming full studio album due out in mid 2013. With new opportunities approaching, Leigh and Coughlin assembled other talented musicians of San Diego to round out The Morgan Leigh Band. They began touring Southern California in the summer of 2012 playing shows at The House of Blues, San Diego County Fair, The Ruby Room, Jimmy Loves, and many other notable venues and fairs.
